album cover, created by percussionist Hakan Kaya, reflects the
enlightening power of music, the romance in TÜRKANA's original songs, and
their ethnicity as depicted by the saz, the long-necked Turkish folk lute. 1.

A traditional folk song
from the Ottoman period of Istanbul that has become one of the eternal

AĞIT A new interpretation by
TÜRKANA of the Macedonian folk song Žalna Majka, originally a lament
for the famous Macedonian singer Blagoj Petrov Karagule, who was killed in
an earthquake in 1963. 12.

"Gurbet"
in Turkish means "abroad."
